The short version
- We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms from abuse and remember your cookie choices.
- We don’t use advertising or social media tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics cookies either.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages and visits, such as the fact that you’re signed in. Similar technologies, like your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way, so this policy covers them too.
Cookies set by the website you’re visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other companies are third-party cookies.
How we use cookies
Toolvind sets essential cookies that are needed for the service you asked for: signing in, keeping your session secure, protecting forms and remembering your cookie choices. Privacy laws such as the EU and UK ePrivacy rules don’t require consent for essential cookies, but we tell you about them on your first visit and list each one below.
The cookie popup also asks whether you’re happy for us to use analytics cookies. We don’t use any at the moment, whatever you choose, and if we add them we’ll ask you again, naming the service, before setting any.
We don’t use cookies to follow you across other websites, to build an advertising profile of you or to show you ads.

The session and security cookies are renewed each time you load a page, so the time shown counts from your most recent visit.
Other technologies
- Team tools. The admin area, which only the Toolvind team uses, remembers display preferences such as dark mode in the browser’s local storage.
- Emails. Our email delivery provider may use a tiny image or tracked links to record whether an email was opened or a link in it was clicked. This helps us keep our emails out of spam folders.
Third-party services on our pages
- Fonts and code libraries. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from jsDelivr and cdnjs (run by Cloudflare). These services don’t set cookies when they deliver files to our pages but, like any web request, they receive your IP address and browser details.
- Links to other websites. When you follow a link to a product’s website or app store page, that site may set its own cookies, and its own cookie policy applies.
- Share buttons. Our share buttons are plain links. X, LinkedIn and Facebook receive nothing from us unless you click one.
Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time in cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page.
Your browser also lets you see, block and delete cookies. If you block essential cookies, you won’t be able to sign in or send forms on Toolvind, but you can still browse.
